Paul McCartney:
June 18, 1942. Liverpool.
McCartney had a more successful solo career than Star
and Harrison because of his enthusiasm for wanting to perform live. His
first release was 'McCartney', followed by the eccentric 'Ram'. This was
with the help of his band, 'Wings'. Numerous successful albums and singles
were released to show what he really could do without the Beatles. His
releases included: 'Red Rose Speedway', 'Band On The Run', 'Venus and Mars',
'Wing At The Speed Of Sound', 'Wings over America', 'London Town', Wings
Greatest' and 'Back To The Egg'.
