Richard Starkey:
July 7, 1940. Liverpool.
Not an original Beatle. Played drums for Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. He was seen as an ideal replacement for drums when Pete Best was forced out. Ringo was left the most uncertain as to what direction his carear should take after the Beatles split in 1970. His initial solo recording was released in 1970 while the Beatles were still together and it was entitled, 'Sentimental Journey'. The album was entitled 'Beaucoups Of Blues' and it didn't do to brilliantly in the charts. But his next album was a success. 'Ringo' released in 1973 was put together with the help of the other fab four. Carried along by his success his third album called 'Snookeroo' in 1974. Unfortunatley for Ringo the album failed. His next venture was to work on an album with John Lennon, but it was cut short when Ringo recieved word of John's death.
